                                                  Why Dhaka University is so Important in Bangladesh

Why is Dhaka University one of the most important place in Bangladesh? Actually, this question may have many answers, for instance, every person knows that Dhaka University represents Bangladesh. In language movement, DU students had an epitomizing contribution. Not only our war for freedom but also every sector has been contributed by DU students. In 1971, many students were martyred by the Pakistan Army. There is no indication in any country of the world whose University students gave their lives for the country. They did not want their lives, rather they only wanted freedom of our country.

In Bangladesh, DU students are more intelligent than most other university students. In other sectors, DU students are most ahead, for instance, in politics. There are many leaders produced by this university like Foqurul Islam Alamgir, Sheikh Hasina, Bakul, Sohel and many others. They are considered as the most important personalities in our country. Every year we are seeing that most of the BCS cadres pass from our university. Therefore, for all of the above reasons, I think du is the most important place in our country.
